UNICAMPANIA

The Department of Precision Medicine of University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli (UNICAMPANIA) RU in the ENDO-CARE project will field its ability to exploit innovative technologies to define the pathogenesis of human diseases, allowing their molecular and genetic characterization, down to single cells. Prof. Nunzia D’Onofrio, scientific responsible of unit, has expertise in the study of molecules of biochemical interest and inflammatory mechanisms in the context of chronic degenerative diseases (cancer, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, atherosclerosis), in the study of oxidative stress and epigenetic mechanisms underlying cardiovascular diseases with reference to endothelial and endothelial progenitor cell dysfunction in type 2 diabetes. UNICAMPANIA experience will allow to study in vitro the functional activity of bioactive nanocarriers on EPC. The UNICAMPANIA RU laboratories have advanced specialized instrumentation for biochemistry, cell biology, proteomics and metabolomics studies
